You know which plant makes me happy? This one: Dracena fragrans 'massangeana'.  It's the first plant I wake up to every morning as it lives right next to my bed. This Dracena can survive without water for weeks. My happy plant tolerates low light in our south facing bedroom and always looks like the happiest of houseplants. ABOUT

Stunning long wide leaves with golden and deep cream stripes. Smaller plants can be kept on tables however more mature plants should be placed on the floor. Native to New Guinea and West Africa. 

LIGHT/SUN

Dracena fragrans prefers bright, indirect light, but will tolerate low light and shade positions outside.

WATER

Water when the top inch or 3 cm's is dry (see: The Finger Test). Will cope with some periods of dryness. Enjoys a spray mist in summer.

Height: 1.2 m 

SOIL

Happy plants thrive in high quality premium potting mix or loam based soil

FERTILISER

Liquid or slow release fertiliser is recommended to be applied during in the warmer months, choose one suitable for your houseplants and always follow the instructions on the pack for measurements and frequency. This plant doesn’t require fertiliser in the cold of winter. 

CARE TIPS 

Follow the above!  When choosing a pot - pick one with a drainage hole, and use a saucer to catch escaping water. Empty the saucer after watering.  May need repotting every 12 months in the spring when the roots fill the pot.
